Terms and Conditions
1. Key Terms and Definitions
- Company: Housekeeping Connect Services Ltd.
- Client: The individual or organization engaging the services as outlined in the confirmation email or invoice.
- Cleaner: An independent service provider introduced by the Company to the Client. Cleaners are self-employed and not employees of the Company.
- Services: The introduction of a suitable cleaner by the Company to meet the Client’s domestic cleaning requirements.
- Agreement: The contract between the Company and the Client for the provision of Services, as described in the confirmation email.
- Writing: Formal communication through email, SMS, or written correspondence.
2. Scope of Service Delivery
The Company commits to introducing a cleaner to the Client based on the specified requirements. While reasonable steps are taken to match the Client’s needs, the Company cannot guarantee the cleaner’s skills, suitability, or conduct. The Client acknowledges that cleaners are self-employed and operate under the Client’s supervision and responsibility during the service.
3. Obligations of the Client
Clients must clearly communicate their requirements before a cleaner is introduced. It is the Client’s responsibility to verify the cleaner’s suitability and monitor their performance. Necessary cleaning materials should be provided, and access to the property ensured. Payments to cleaners remain the sole responsibility of the Client, and the Company assumes no liability for any non-payment. Changes to the cleaning schedule or scope of work must be communicated promptly to the Company.
4. Fees and Payment Terms
An introduction fee must be paid before the commencement of services. If the Client cancels a confirmed service with less than seven days’ notice, the full introduction fee will still apply. Outstanding payments may lead to a suspension of services until the balance is cleared. Payments must be made in GBP unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.
5. Replacements and Refund Policy
In cases where a cleaner fails to attend, refuses to work, or discontinues the service, the Company will provide a replacement cleaner at no additional cost, subject to availability. Refunds are offered at the Company’s discretion. Both replacement and refund eligibility depend on the Client having no outstanding fees with the Company.
6. Limitations of Liability
The Company is not liable for any damage, loss, or negligence caused by the cleaner during service. Since cleaners are independent contractors, the Company does not assume responsibility for their actions. Clients are encouraged to verify the quality of work performed by the cleaner.
7. Termination of the Agreement
Either party may terminate this Agreement with 30 days’ written notice. If the Client initiates termination, the introduction fee will not be refunded. If the Company terminates the Agreement, a pro-rata refund may be considered for any unused portion of the services.
8. Handling Complaints
Clients are required to submit complaints to the Company in writing. The Company will investigate and provide a response as quickly as possible. If the Client is not satisfied with the resolution, they may escalate the complaint to the Company’s management team for further review.
9. Miscellaneous Provisions
This Agreement is non-transferable and applies exclusively to the named Client and the specified property. If any part of this Agreement is deemed invalid by a competent authority, the remaining provisions will remain enforceable. This Agreement is governed by English law, and all disputes will be resolved under English jurisdiction.
